North American Feuerstein Alliance (N.A.F.A.)
The North American Feuerstein Alliance (NAFA) is an organization
devoted to coordinating efforts to promote the work of Reuven Feuerstein
and Instrumental Enrichment . The President of NAFA is Monsignor
James Gilg, Superintendent of the Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese
of Omaha, Nebraska; Dr. Gilg is currently training the teaching staff
in several of the 78 schools of the district in the methodology of Instrumental
Enrichment. IC&TA is a member of NAFA.
The specific purposes of NAFA are to:
- Organize an annual conference for North America
- Provide parents with resources for effective Mediated learning with
their children
- Promote advocacy and collaboration with external organizations
- Promote Feuerstein’s theory and applied systems in public,
private, and home education and clinical settings
- Connect Instrumental Enrichment with governmental initiatives
- Establish and align research on Instrumental Enrichment with federal
criteria
- Create a data base for trainers and trainees
- Publicize training opportunities
- Provide resources to practitioners and trainers
- Refine and develop training procedures
- Provide marketing strategies
- Serve as a clearinghouse for implementation projects

of NAFA.
